About The Drunken Clam Bar & Grille
Tucked a block off the sand at 46 46th Avenue, The Drunken Clam is the kind of little beach bar every Gulf town wishes it had — the locals' favorite hangout, where the staff knows the regulars by name and the seasonal snowbirds get remembered year to year, as if they'd only been away on vacation. It even took home Best Bar honors in St. Pete Beach's 60th Anniversary awards.
Live music runs Tuesday through Saturday nights, 7 to 11 PM — rock, blues, reggae, beach tunes and current favorites. Tuesdays and Wednesdays usually bring singles and duos, Thursday night belongs to local favorite Billy Agans and his loyal following, and Fridays and Saturdays a rotating cast of local bands keeps the deck loud.
Come hungry: the small kitchen puts out a big menu, headlined by fresh 'naked' unbreaded wings and the award-winning Cajun Parmesan Garlic sauce, plus steamed clams, shrimp, mussels and hand-pattied burgers. Over 18 HiDef TVs cover the games, and the bar pours until midnight — or the bartender's discretion, whichever comes first.
